Anonymously I also slaved hours in this shop for people who have time to sit and spend what we only wish to earn…I dreaded my first two months, being small, being a servant, is a difficult but honorable job. But love and laughter bonded a lot of hearts that may never be forgotten, after 2 years it was time to move on, I cried shamelessly as I walked out where thousands walk in and out.
I miss that place, not the food or the job, but the people, the spirit. There you will find real people who touched me and changed my life forever. In this pic you see Thomas, he used to shake my hand every night, he called me madam and proposed to me at least twice a week. In the other pic you see jack, he always smiles, he is studying to be a lawyer. Godfrey used to leave his dustbin for a moment and take me for a walls in front of the shop…
Do yourself a favor; spend some time with real people, regardless of who or who you think you are.
Thank you Marc I had a good cry and a good laugh every time.
